New Renovations Are a Warm Welcome for Breakers Resort Guests

Visitors have been enjoying their summer vacations at The Breakers Resort in Myrtle Beach for more than 80 years, and this summer promises to be the best one yet.

That's because in addition to the same great accommodations, amenities, friendly service and Southern hospitality, The Breakers is unveiling the results of its offseason renovations project that will make the resort even more relaxing and family-friendly than ever in 2014.

In keeping with its philosophy to constantly improve upon the three-tower resort in the heart of downtown Myrtle Beach, The Breakers spared no expense in upgrading and updating many of its facilities. The most noticeable undertaking is the resort's efforts to connect the towers through the installation of new pavers that will make it easier for guests to roam from one to another and for parents to have better sightlines to the pool areas where children play.

The pavers will run along the pool decks and lawns of all the buildings at The Breakers with the exception of the Boutique tower, which is located a few blocks north of the main buildings. Like the other three buildings, however, the Boutique tower's pool deck will feature new chaise lounge chairs, umbrellas and tables. The fitness center also has added all new equipment, such as treadmills, elliptical machines and stationary bikes.

The Breakers Resort is also renovating its beach accesses to allow guests a better route to and from the beach to the pool decks. The Pirates Cove lawn and pool deck area, where deejays and live entertainment perform by the poolside, has undergone a major facelift. New pavers have replaced the lawn, providing more room for guests to dance to the music and take in the action.

Also getting an update is The Palms tower, which received a fresh coat of paint to go with its modernized lobby area and the public restrooms. Restrooms in all the building have received new granite tile countertops and flooring, as well as fresh new pillows and upgraded in-room wireless Internet access.

The Breakers is also offering a free shuttle service to and from the Myrtle Beach International Airport, giving guests who arrive or depart by plane one less thing to worry about during their vacations.

It’s all part of The Breakers Resort’s continuing commitment to excellence and dedication to making sure you have the best vacation experience possible.
