Movies Under the Stars 2012 in The Market Common, Myrtle Beach
Not only did Market Common executives decide to bring back this popular movie series, they decided to expand the summertime event. The lineup they have planned for this year comprises both classics and popular films from over the last decade.
The movies will be shown at Valor Park, across from Tommy Bahama’s Restaurant and Bar. There is ample parking—Market Common has two large free parking garages and there is plenty of free parking on the surrounding streets as well.
Make sure to bring blankets and beach chairs to enjoy the movies. Admission is free and smoking is prohibited.
For food and refreshments, pack a picnic, or consider a choice of nearby options including the Kalik Beer Garden, which will have assorted desserts, beer and wine sold in the park by Tommy Bahama Restaurant & Bar, and Canipes Chocolates & Candies will sell gourmet snacks and popcorn starting at $1. Savor the chef's eclectic, tropical fare or just unwind with one of our many delicious cocktails. Overlooking Valor Park, their spacious patio is perfectly appointed for dining al fresco. Dinner reservations are recommended, but walk-ins are welcome.
